At the base of the hopper, a counterflow of clean water creates a “fluidized bed” that deep-cleans the grit as it descends. This technology achieves an impressive capture rate of over 95% for particles down to 0.2 mm, resulting in high-quality grit with less than 3% organic content and under 10% residual moisture.
