CF – Screw Screens
The Fluiteco Screw Screen (CF) range offers comprehensive and highly reliable solutions for the filtration, conveyance, and compaction of solid waste in wastewater. These machines combine practical efficiency and a robust design into a single system, making them adaptable to various plant requirements. The range includes several specific models for every need: the CF – Screw Screen for filtration and conveyance only; the CFC – Screw Screen Compactor which includes a compaction zone for a drastic reduction in the waste’s weight and volume (from 30% to 50% less); and the CFT-C – Screw Screen Compactor in Tank, ideal for receiving wastewater from fixed pipes in a stainless steel tank. For vertical installations (90° relative to the effluent axis), the CFV – Vertical Screw Screen, the CFV-C – Vertical Screw Screen Compactor (a vertical solution integrating compaction), and the CFVT-C – Vertical Screw Screen in Tank are available. Completing the range, the CF/S – Small Screw Screen offers the same functionalities as the standard CF in a compact and optimized solution.

Robust Construction and Filtration Options
The structure of the Screw Screens guarantees maximum durability and corrosion resistance, being entirely manufactured from high-quality stainless steel 304L/316L, Duplex, and Superduplex. To meet various particle size requirements, the filtration zone – the crucial part of the system – is available in two main configurations: Perforated Sheet with circular holes ranging from 2 mm to 10 mm, or Wedge Wire Net with a trapezoidal profile offering ultra-fine spacing between 0.25 mm and 2 mm. The fine or coarse screening capacity can range from 0.25 mm to 10 mm, with an efficient operational width between 200 mm and 700 mm.
Operational Process and Cleaning System
The operation is linear and effective: the screw, driven by a gear motor, rotates to collect and convey the waste to the discharge outlet. The Screw Screens can be installed with a variable incline, typically between 35° and 45° depending on the specific plant requirements (the standard installation for the shaftless version is 35°). The CF model adapts to any civil structure and can also be supplied in a steel tank version. The CFV model is exclusively vertical (90°), and the effluent inlet to the filtration screen is exclusively flanged. The CF/S model features closed filtration, a filtration basket with a flanged inlet, followed by the transport section and the discharge zone, which can be supplied with a chute or a bagging system. The standard installation of the CF/S for the shaftless version is at 70°, but can be reduced to 45° with the shaft version. The CF/S is also available in a tank version (CFST) and in nominal diameters of 150 mm and 200 mm. In every CF model, the screw is equipped with brushes for continuous filter cleaning, and an optional washing system activated by a manual or solenoid valve is available.
The Advantages of Fluiteco Design
Fluiteco’s Screw Screens are not just robust machines, but also intelligent solutions. The Fluiteco design is distinguished by its extreme dimensional and operational flexibility: the design can adapt to any civil engineering structure, thanks also to adaptation strips. Maintenance is simplified due to accessible lubrication points. To ensure maximum durability, the screw thickness is variable from 6 up to 20 mm. Finally, for specific requirements, the version with passive and/or active insulation is available as an optional extra.
