CP – Shaftless Screw Conveyor and Compactor
The CP Shaftless Screw Conveyor and Compactor by Fluiteco is a high-efficiency system designed for the drainage, conveying, and compaction of solid waste. Its shaftless design ensures continuous operation, drastically reducing the risk of clogging and maintenance requirements, even when handling fibrous or stringy materials. The system is structured into three main sections: a drainage area positioned before the loading hopper to separate liquids, a conveying section where the screw moves the waste, and a compaction module. This final stage is capable of reducing waste volume and weight by up to 50%, significantly optimizing disposal costs.
Operational Versatility and Construction
Designed to operate at inclinations ranging from 5° to 35°, the CP unit can be configured to reach lengths of up to 20 meters. The structure is built from high-quality AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel, while the trough can be protected with HDPE, Hardox, or bolted stainless steel wearing bars to enhance durability. The drive system is directly coupled to the screw, with power requirements calculated based on length, inclination, and required flow rate, ensuring efficient and quiet torque transmission.
Screenings Washing and Hygiene
To enhance hygiene and process efficiency, the CP unit always includes an integrated screenings washing system. A spray bar equipped with nozzles, located in the conveying zone, drastically reduces organic content before discharge. Additionally, a Wedge Wire mesh module is available in the compaction zone to maximize dewatering. For specific installation requirements, the system can be integrated with vertical discharge pipes to orient the waste and with thermal insulation featuring heating cables to prevent freezing in harsh climates.
