DFH – DISK FILTER – Microfiltration System
The DISK FILTER (DFH) is an advanced microfiltration system and the latest innovation in modern wastewater treatment. It is specifically designed to address common challenges in secondary clarifiers, such as high hydraulic loads, insufficient tank depth, and poor settling behavior of activated sludge. This system ensures reliable solids retention and significant pollutant reduction, ensuring high-quality effluent standards.
The machine features a modular design where each disk is composed of eight plastic looms integrated into a 20-micron stainless steel filtering frame, all fixed to a central octagonal pipe. Wastewater flows into the system by gravity and is filtered as it passes through the disks, while the clean water is collected in a stainless steel tank. The disks remain stationary until filter clogging causes a rise in the water level; sensors then detect this increase and activate a gear motor to rotate the disks. This rotation, combined with high-pressure washing, cleans the mesh and dislodges accumulated material into an inclined discharge hopper.
The Fluiteco design is characterized by its modularity, allowing the system to be expanded up to 36 disks to accommodate plant growth. Entirely manufactured in AISI 304L or 316L stainless steel, the unit features 316L mesh for maximum durability. A key advantage of the Fluiteco design is the positioning of supports above the water level, which prevents corrosion and facilitates access for maintenance.
Reliability is further enhanced by easily accessible lubrication points and a design that simplifies the replacement of filtering elements. The DISK FILTER provides a fast and efficient solution to separate suspended solids and reduce phosphorus loads, effectively preventing eutrophication. For installations in harsh environments, optional thermal insulation is available to maintain consistent performance.
