MCB – Micro Combined Pretreatment Unit
The MCB Micro Combined Pretreatment Unit by Fluiteco is a highly compact system engineered to provide a comprehensive and cost-effective solution for small wastewater flow rates, handling up to 10 m³/h. Designed to optimize space without compromising performance, the MCB 200 model integrates two fundamental pretreatment processes—screening and sand removal—within a single, robust unit.
The operation begins with the integrated screw screen, which efficiently removes coarse solids from the incoming effluent. Simultaneously, the lower section of the unit acts as a settling tank, allowing sand and heavier particles to accumulate at the bottom through sedimentation. Sand extraction is performed exclusively via a dedicated pump system, ensuring efficient removal and disposal. This dual action protects downstream equipment and improves overall plant reliability, even in small-scale applications.
The Fluiteco design for the MCB series prioritizes durability and adaptability. The unit is available in various high-grade materials, including AISI 304L, 316L, Duplex, and Super Duplex stainless steel. The standard configuration features a shaftless screw screen installed at a 35° angle; however, for specific plant requirements, a shafted version can be provided with an adjusted inclination of 45°. This flexibility ensures the unit can be tailored to the unique hydraulic and structural needs of each facility.
The MCB is characterized by its high filtration versatility, supporting both wedge wire profiles for fine screening (from 0.25 mm) and perforated sheets for coarser separation (up to 2 mm). Despite its small footprint, the system is designed for ease of maintenance and long-term durability. With its efficient combined technology and robust construction, the MCB represents the ideal solution for decentralized wastewater treatment, small industrial sites, or modular pretreatment plants.
