Here, finer solids settle by gravity; a horizontal shaftless screw conveyor then moves the accumulated sand toward the extraction zone, where an inclined auger lifts it for final disposal. To further enhance wastewater quality, the SERIES can be equipped with an advanced FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) Removal System, achieving an efficiency of at least 85%. This system operates in two distinct phases: an optional blower injects air to facilitate the separation of grease from settling sand, while a surface skimming mechanism with a scraper collects the floating material and directs it to a dedicated discharge outlet. This dual-phase approach ensures a high degree of protection for downstream biological stages and equipment.
