SMCH – Multi Brushed Holed Screen
The SMCH Multi Brushed Holed Screen by Fluiteco is a high-performance fine-screening solution, representing the evolution of the multi-raked bar screen for applications requiring superior filtration precision. Designed for installation in channels with a standard 75° inclination, this unit features a robust stainless steel frame and a filtration zone made of a perforated stainless steel sheet. With hole openings ranging from 2 mm to 10 mm, it ensures the efficient capture of fine solids from wastewater flows.
The operational efficiency of the SMCH is driven by an automated cleaning mechanism consisting of multiple brushed combs. These combs continuously traverse the perforated sheet, capturing, lifting, and conveying the screenings toward the discharge level. The system is triggered automatically by water level sensors: once the preset threshold is reached, the cleaning cycle activates, restoring the screen’s hydraulic capacity and ensuring uninterrupted operation.
One of the most significant advantages of the SMCH is its extreme dimensional flexibility. The unit can handle impressive flow rates of up to 5,000 m³/h, with channel widths ranging from 300 mm to 3,500 mm and discharge heights reaching up to 20,000 mm. For plants without pre-existing concrete channels, the SMCH can also be supplied in a specialized “boxed” version within a stainless steel tank, allowing for easy integration into any civil work design.
The Fluiteco design focuses on mechanical longevity and simplified maintenance. Unlike traditional screens, the SMCH features a bottom section without sprockets, utilizing precision guides to manage the roller chains. This design choice significantly reduces wear and underwater maintenance. The unit is equipped with mechanical torque limiters, bumper guards to protect the filtration surface, and easily accessible lubrication points, providing a reliable and durable solution for municipal and industrial fine screening.
